Rebound Injury Clinic has been set up and run by Shannon Byrne, BSc Hons Sports Therapy.

The Clinic is based in  a brand new, purpose built Sports Therapy room in Coolock, Dublin.

Rebound Injury Clinic offers a range of treatments at competitive rates, from Sports Therapy, Massage Therapy, Dry Needling, Sports Rehabilitation and so much more to insure recovery and prevention of injuries, aches and pains. 

Shannon has achieved an Honors Degree (Bachelor of Science) in Sports Therapy, obtained from London Metropolitan University in 2020. Shannon is a member of the Society of Sports Therapists and the Irish Massage Therapy Association (Member No: 2075). Massage Treatments fulfilled by Shannon may be viable for rebates through Irish Life Health Insurance.

Shannon has previous private practice experience where she treated anyone from athletes to desk workers, young and old, for a wide range of injuries. As well as this, she has worked pitch-side with football teams, volunteered as a therapist at Iron Man events, was lead therapist at the Women's Soccer Intervarsity Tournament 2023 and worked with world championship level dancers with a focus on improving flexibility and injury prevention. Shannon's experience and qualification (BSc in Sports Therapist) means she has the knowledge, ability and skills to provide immediate care of injuries through assessment, treatment and rehabilitation,.


Shannon's treatment approach is focused on manual therapy techniques like deep tissue massage, trigger point release, manual stretching, dry needling and joint mobilization. Injury prevention and rehabilitation are Shannon's main areas of interest and her passion lies in addressing the root of her clients' problems and using her skills to create lasting change.

Garreth Lonergan

Garr joined the Rebound Injury Clinic in 2024. He graduated in 2023 from Portobello Institute in BSc Sports Therapy accredited by London Metropolitan University. Garr is also a qualified Pilates Instructor!


His history of sports comes from playing with the Naomh Barróg Senior Football Team. Garr has worked with athletes across a wide range of sports such as Rugby, Soccer, Gaelic & Hurling.


Garr specializes in Pilates, strength & conditioning, deep tissue massage, trigger point release, mobilisation, taping and electrotherapy. He has great interest in core stability/strength, flexibility, correct posture & muscle strength.

Adam Power

Adam is currently the Head of Academy Medical at Drogheda United and has worked in elite sport both in Ireland and abroad; completing an internship with the University of Pittsburgh where he worked in collegiate American football and basketball. He has also worked in private practice environments where he treated high stress workplace individuals with their pain.


Adam specialises in return to play post injury for athletes and works with athletes participating in both team and individual sports. He uses a mix of gym based and hands on rehab to ensure you have the best chance of returning to sport or work pain free.


Sessions with Adam may be claimed back through health insurance policies with Laya, Irish Life and Vigo. Adam is also registered with the Leinster Senior League as a therapist which can allow LSL players in certain cases to claim back through their insurance.
